Delina Rahmate BHSc. Nutritional Medicine

I love helping people to achieve their very best life filled with health and happiness

What drives me every day is to help people understand their bodies and to empower them to make the changes needed for optimal health – I’m wholly motivated to continually learn and understand the complexities of what makes us work. As a practitioner I come from a place of deep curiosity and empathy.

My health journey has not always been smooth sailing, I have suffered with debilitating gut issues, allergies, thyroid and other hormone problems, deep fatigue and the subsequent brain affects of anxiety, low mood and brain fog. Intuitively I always knew that to get to the core of my issues I would have to take a deep dive into health. I knew that allopathic medicine was great at treating symptoms but not really getting to the root cause, hence I began my journey into nutritional medicine.

My Career Pathway

I started my career as a Registered Nurse eventually finding my true place in preventative health. I love exercise, and my passion for health and fitness led me into the fitness industry where I worked as a fitness instructor, personal trainer and a teacher delivering fitness courses. I eventually set up my own Registered Training Organisation delivering qualifications in Fitness and Personal Training. Meanwhile I was studying Nutritional Medicine on the side as I knew this was essential to health and vitality, completing my degree in 2014.

I have lived and worked on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW for over 20 years. With my qualifications, I have a comprehensive knowledge of health, nutrition and fitness. My expertise in these areas allows me to combine my knowledge to develop specialised nutrition plans personalised to suit the individual. I operate both online and from my clinic in Cudgen, Northern NSW just 10 minutes from the Gold Coast and consult for a range of clients with a variety of conditions, disorders and needs.

As a clinical nutritionist I incorporate research and evidence-based medicine integrated with traditional food wisdom to help motivate individuals to eat well and live healthier lives.

I have also been a successful elite ultra-runner, multiple Ironman finisher and cyclist. In 2018, I competed internationally in the CCC 100km trail race at UTMB.  I was third woman at the 2017 Buffalo Stampede 75km Trail Run, first woman home at the 2015 Alpine Challenge 100km Ultra Marathon and 2012 Three Peaks 235km cycling challenge along with many other podium finishes including multiple Gold Coast Kokoda 96km Challenges.
