About Delina

Clinical Nutritionist

Hi, I'm Delina and I'd like to welcome you to my website. A little bit about me: I have lived and worked on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW for over 20 years. With my background as a Registered Nurse, Teacher, Personal Trainer, elite athlete and Nutritionist, I have a comprehensive knowledge of Health, Nutrition and Fitness. My expertise in these areas allows me to combine all of this knowledge to develop specialised nutrition plans personalised to suit the individual. I operate from my clinic in Cudgen, Northen NSW just 10 minutes from the Gold Coast and consult for a range of clients with a variety of conditions, disorders and needs. I am also the CEO and founder of Fit Dimension Education, a Registered Training Organisation delivering qualifications in Fitness and Personal Training.

I started my work career as a Registered Nurse eventually finding her real passion in preventative health. I studied my fitness qualifications and began working in the fitness industry in 1998. In 2002 I took up a teaching position with TAFE NSW as a fitness teacher where Iworked full time until July 2013. Throughout this time I attained my graduate Diploma of Adult Education and Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualifications along with numerous fitness specific professional development courses such as BOSU, Swiss Ball, Les Mills, Sports Nutrition to name a few. I have always had a keen interest in holistic nutrition which led me to completing my Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine in 2014.

As a clinical nutritionist I approach disease prevention and management through a multidimensional lens. With each client I assesses nutrition adequacy, absorption, current and past health status, food quality, dietary behaviours and lifestyle to develop individualised nutrition and lifestyle plans. The Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine degree is supported by a strong underpinning knowledge of biological and social sciences. Nutritional studies broaden the degree to include nutritional biochemistry, weight management, clinical nutrition, dietary planning, sports nutrition and clinical practice.

As a clinical nutritionist I incorporate research and evidence based medicine integrated with traditional food wisdom to help motivate individuals to eat well and live healthier lives.

I am a successful elite ultra runner, multiple Ironman finisher and cyclist. I was third woman at the 2017 Buffalo Stampede 75km Trail Run, first woman home at the 2015 Alpine Challenge 100km Ultra Marathon and 2012 Three Peaks 235km cycling challenge along with many other podium finishes including  multiple Gold Coast Kokoda 96km Challenges.
